702 days in barrel. Flanders Red with cherries is a complex, sour, and fruity Belgian-style beer, often called the “”Burgundy of Belgium”” due to its wine-like characteristics. Originating in West Flanders, it features a deep red color, sharp lactic acidity, and notes of plum, raisin, and balsamic vinegar from long-term aging in oak barrels. Tite grain ex-chardonay barrels were used to ensure the oak character did not over power the beer and allowed us to wait till it was ready. 🍒
